Upon receipt of a DSC Distress Alert acknowledgement the vessel in distress should commence the distress traffic on one of the international distress traffic frecuencies such as VHF Channel 16 or frecuency 2182 kHz (if not automatically controlled) as follows: Tras recibir un acuse recibo de un alerta de socorro enviado por LSD, el buque en situación de peligro debe iniciar la transmisión del siguiente mensaje de socorro en una de las frecuencias de tráfico asignadas a escala internacional a las comunicaciones de socorro por telefonía (canal 16 VHF o frecuencia 2182 kHz, si no están preseleccionadas automáticamente):

After the transmission of a DSC Urgency Call switch the transmitter to VHF Channel 16 or frequency 2182 kHz (if not automatically controlled) and commence the urgency traffic as follows: Tras transmitir una llamada de urgencia por LSD, cámbiese el transmisor al canal 16 VHF o a la frecuencia 2182 (si no se dispone de control automático) e inicie la transmisión del siguiente mensaje de urgencia:
